ICC-ES Appraisal Report Issued to Leviat
Halfen HZA Anchor Channels and HZS Channel Bolts compliant with the NZ Building Code (NZBC) and Concrete Structures Standard NZS 3101.
We are excited to announce the ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) has issued the first appraisal report in New Zealand to Leviat for Halfen HZA Anchor Channels and HZS Channel Bolts.
Anchor Channels and Bolts are used to anchor concrete and resist static, wind, and seismic tension loads, shear loads perpendicular to the longitudinal channel axis, longitudinal shear loads, or any combination of these loads applied at any location in the anchor channel between the outermost anchors.
The ICC-ES Regulatory Service is an industry leader in evaluating building products, materials, and systems for code compliance. They have deemed through thorough technical evaluation the Halfen HZA Anchor Channels and HZS Channel Bolts compliant against the NZ Building Code (NZBC) and the Concrete Structures Standard NZS 3101. Most notably, these products met specific performance requirements for B1 Structure, B2 Durability, and F2 Hazardous Building Materials.
"This is exciting news to start the year and will increase the confidence of designers and specifiers to use Leviat’s Anchor Channels in projects throughout New Zealand.” Says National Technical Manager for Australia & New Zealand, Andreas Boomkamp.
